“Peace through the Spirit of Love Field” Ceremony Slated
for Friday Afternoon November 22

[Dallas, TX – Nov. 19, 2024] A group from across the country, and locally, aims to change the image of Dallas, from 1960’s dusty legacy of the “city of hate” into the 21st century as “Dallas, a city of love, healing and peace.”

R. A. “Kris” Millegan, Publisher of TrineDay Books, said, “After 61 years of historians, researchers and journalists asking ‘who is to blame’ for John Fitzgerald Kennedy’s assassination in Dealey Plaza on Friday, November 22, 1963, it’s time to promote healing, unity and peace.  Millegan added, “TrineDay, Paul Fitzgerald and his wife Elizabeth Gould, authors and journalists, are hosting a prayer, healing, unity and peace ceremony.”

“The group feels it is time for the citizens of Dallas, Texas and all Americans to move in a more positive direction to resurrect JFK’s ‘spirit of peace’, its initiatives and policies, and that Love Field is the best place for this ceremony” Fitzgerald said.

Gould also commented, “While we deeply respect folks honoring Mr. Kennedy’s death at Dealey Plaza each year, we feel it’s time to heal. We must capture and amplify JFK’s spirit of peace, unity and healing for all Americans.”

The “PEACE THROUGH THE SPIRIT OF LOVE FIELD” prayer and healing ceremony is slated for Friday, November 22, 2024, from 2:15 to 2:45 p.m. Millegan concluded, “This is the precise time frame Kennedy was brought to Love Field and Lyndon B. Johnson took the oath of office administered by Texas Judge Sarah T. Hughes on Air Force One. Love Field has historical markers located inside the airport and tarmac, yet we felt it most appropriate to host this prayer and healing ceremony at the beautiful Spirit of Flight bronze statue fountain park.”

Logistics. The 30 minutes ceremony is permitted by the City of Dallas and airport officials.  The public is invited.  Please note:  parking is limited.   “The Spirit of Flight” statue fountain park is located near the public entrance of Love Field airport, 8008 Herb Kelleher Way, Dallas, TX 75235. The event will be live streamed at Facebook.com/Robert.Millegan.

His head tilted towards the sky symbolizes his victory over flight. The statue is placed on a pedestal surrounded by two pools. There are six clusters of three birds in flight cast in bronze below the statue of the man. The statue and birds were gifted by the family of Mr. and Mrs. Leo F.
